GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Radial seal, sealing rings are movably seated in the body. The seal works with a very small gap, does not require additional lubrication and is designed to run dry. The number of rings can vary from one to several – depending on the operating parameters. The rings can be collapsible for optimal assembly. The seals do not require any additional mounting on the shaft.

APPLICATION
Radial shaft seals type PGS are used for sealing gases, dust and vapors. Designed for shaft sealing in: fans, blowers, mixers, dryers, centrifuges, bearings, etc. They can be used in almost any industry such as chemistry, energy and sewage technology, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food processing and marine technology.
Shaft seals of machines pumping flammable gases, toxic and contaminated with solid particles, are fed with a neutral barrier gas, preventing the release of the sealed medium into the atmosphere. The barrier gas pressure should be approximately 0.1-0.2 bar higher than the medium pressure. The barrier gas used also serves to cool the seal under high temperature operating conditions.
